My Mission: Supporting Families Through the Special Education Process
Hi, I’m Lisa Petrell-Delude, the founder of Stepping Stones Special Education Advocacy.
I know how overwhelming the special education process can feel. The meetings, the paperwork, the unfamiliar language—it’s a lot, especially when all you want is to make sure your child gets the support they deserve. That’s why I created Stepping Stones: to help families navigate special education one step at a time, with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
I hold a Master of Education and have spent over 25 years working in special education, both supporting students and navigating the system from the inside. Through my experience, I’ve learned not only how the process works, but how important it is for families to feel heard, respected, and empowered along the way.
When we work together, I start by listening—really listening—to your concerns and your goals for your child. I take the time to explain options, prepare you for meetings, and advocate for your child’s unique needs. You don’t have to figure this out alone. I am there to support you, guide you, and stand beside you every step of the way.
At Stepping Stones, my mission is simple: to help families feel confident and supported while advocating for what’s best for their child.
If you’re feeling unsure about next steps or just need someone to talk to, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can take the next step forward for your child—one stepping stone at a time.
